Since the beginning of time, humanity has raised its eyes skywards and faced the mysteries of the universe. Mocking our ignorance, a distant path guides us towards humility: the Milky Way. We haven't yet discovered all the secrets of the universe but, over the course of a few thousand years, we've adapted our environment to our needs, re-configuring, exploiting and transforming it at will. The Milky Way has been clotted, fermented, drained and ripened ... and transformed into a marketable product. In ten surrealist and melancholy short films, the Milky Way Project uses different types of cheese to illustrate the contact and conflict which define the relationship between modern humanity and nature.
