For my film-based film ‘Super8’ or ‘Single8’: ‘JACKSON & suite’; ‘FLASH DIVIN’G’; ‘ULU’ UMIL’EEK – Land of stars’, ‘TRANSE with the Sioux LAKOTAS sorcerers & more’; 'THE SOUND of Silence & suite' (16mm film) = painting on silver film...each film constitutes a painting...ALSO, each freeze frame-is a painting, in itself... See there...where no one is looking ...from the infinitely small to the infinitely large: My ''Moving-Bild'... My approach is to never create a new film, but to endlessly perfect the same film which evolves over the course of productions ( and years)…perhaps in apparently different forms (which is, obviously, the case for my “filmic essays”: 'Dashboard')... But still: inscription of prints on the threshold of the improbable, of a possible 'multiple' perception….where erasure becomes a reading and memory of the infinite. Immerse yourself in the thickness, opacity or transparency of the material. Impulses...pulsations...rhythms...which lead the 'sign-objects' towards the light...A crossing of Space-Time...in its relativity, inscribed... If I had to say it differently, I would quote Paul ELUARD: 'I don't don't invent words...But, I invent objects, beings, events and my senses are capable of perceiving them. I create feelings for myself. I suffer from it or I am happy with it. Indifference can follow them...I remember them...I sometimes see them again. If we had to doubt this reality, nothing would be certain, neither life, nor love, nor death. Everything would become foreign. My reason refuses to deny the testimony of my senses. The object of my desires is always real, sensitive. (in: ‘First old views’-1937).

Collectif Jeune Cinéma

The Collectif Jeune Cinéma (Young Cinema Collective) is a filmmakers’ cooperative founded in Paris on June 12th 1971.

The vocation of the CJC is to distribute different and experimental films of all lengths, gathered in a catalogue that is continuously enriched by new works. This catalogue covers a very wide spectrum of aesthetics and cinematographic practices. For example, it is the only one to include experimental films made by children and young flimmakers (under 18 yo).

See distribution details here.

The CJC is also an archive for films and documents on experimental and different cinema.

The MNEME catalogue management tool you are currently browsing has been designed to provide maximum clarity and readability for both distribution and the archive. It meets international audiovisual item indexing standards (FIAF).

Each year, the CJC organizes the Festival des Cinémas Différents et Expérimentaux de Paris (a festival featuring different and experimental cinema in Paris) and schedules regular screenings each month in Paris or Île-de-France.
