In tandem with one another, two characters question themselves about a presence that seems to follow them through the labyrinth of a Marrakech Medina. They both fantasize about someone. They search for him, for her. There are hints that run through the city and rolling eyes that give the impression of hiding an answer. The main character’s interior monologue expresses a sense of being watched, and he sees all around him polished panels that flash like important signals. He is persuaded that he is surrounded by a large enigma and that he is tasked with deciphering it. But what enigma? Surely his own, the enigma of being.
