Structured in three distinct movements, this film marks one of Milewski’s most forceful and uncompromising works. Loosely echoing the ecstatic and ritualistic undertones ofEcstasy of St. Agnes, it adopts a more irreverent, sharpened tone, where provocation, sensual excess, and near-pornographic imagery collide with rigorous formal control. The film openly mocks cultural and moral conventions, deploying sarcasm as a structural device rather than a rhetorical gesture. A fragmentary historical voice briefly surfaces, only to be absorbed into a larger audiovisual flux. The result is a film of physical intensity and conceptual boldness — arguably Milewski’s most painful and decisive statement.
