Usually every film is accompanied by a Synopsis or a 'Pitch'. Otherwise written with an explanation of the action, if not the theme. In this case, some will think: - ''Since it's an abstract film...it's necessary''. Well, it isn't! Otherwise, for the minimum trade union ... First of all, because it's not an abstract film. It's a BAROQUE film that is a 'Moving Picture', not to say a Living Picture (...). - ‘ Tableau Mouvant ' ( Moving Picture )= concept of my achievements of painting, by hand, on silver film. In the same way, the title is made to transport... Also, it is a true story...lived, by many, at certain times, sometimes not so far away. And sometimes apprehended, very, very far from the Field of Action...in his armchair... The 'Circus Games', in short... Anyway, anyway... I'll let you be the judge… Post scriptorium = When I'm gone and I'm buried in the simple past, Simple... in the uncomplicated sense, I'd like people to say of my films.., that they show to see any in all its splendor... (adaptation of a text by my Friend, COHEN).

Collectif Jeune Cinéma

The Collectif Jeune Cinéma (Young Cinema Collective) is a filmmakers’ cooperative founded in Paris on June 12th 1971.

The vocation of the CJC is to distribute different and experimental films of all lengths, gathered in a catalogue that is continuously enriched by new works. This catalogue covers a very wide spectrum of aesthetics and cinematographic practices. For example, it is the only one to include experimental films made by children and young flimmakers (under 18 yo).

See distribution details here.

The CJC is also an archive for films and documents on experimental and different cinema.

The MNEME catalogue management tool you are currently browsing has been designed to provide maximum clarity and readability for both distribution and the archive. It meets international audiovisual item indexing standards (FIAF).

Each year, the CJC organizes the Festival des Cinémas Différents et Expérimentaux de Paris (a festival featuring different and experimental cinema in Paris) and schedules regular screenings each month in Paris or Île-de-France.
