Sultan, sustained by the energy of a gay pride march (Paris, Gay Pride March. June 2007) standing on a frail Libanese vessel rocking over the Haussmanian buildings, shows himself in a celebration dance transmitting the experience of feast, of passion and ecstasy. We share these rare and precious moments of the man who dances offering joy, sensuality and beauty to the audience and to the man who films. This film shows diffidence towards taboos, exploding sensations, merging cultures and religions and opens gates to the sacred. An incantatory music inspired by sufi canticles enhances the film with a ritual and cosmological dimension and the body of the Libanese diva sounds like a prayer to the glorious body of the Sacrified, that is to say the dancer.
