Inspired by Lewis Carroll the projection shows Alice breaking into the Arnolfini couple's bedroom (itself a painting by Van Eyck). The projection tests the scoping device set up by Van Eyck. The spectator located behind the canvas watches Alice in her turn trapped in the eye of the mirror. One 16 mm projector running at 24 images per second together with two slide projectors (the carousel type) equipped with a manual fade-in, fade-out system. An ideal total image with a 4 meter base, projected resting on a plain, clear floor (there are projections onto the floor too). All the pictures are superimposed on one screeen only. A 8 to 12 meter distance. Total darkness.
