Body Split is a triptych composed of L'Argent, Les Attractions Lumineuses and Le Metro Sous Controle. These three elements concentrate on the reinterpretation of imagery from a critical point of view, with the intention of sketching the current state of the human body. Body Split is also an essay, a sort of autopsy: an attempt to retrieve the body via the imagery by which it will be remembered in the future. The human body is exploited, manipulated and disembodied. Our body has become a mere 'patchwork' of images: a cheap and functional zombie, an institutionalised war machine, a sexual object. An image is essentially an exquisite corpse, with almost all organic elements removed. The real horror lies in the question: where did my blood go?
